Information on obtaining consent for the use of cookies as amended by Order No. 231 of 10 June 2021
What are cookies?
HTML Crusco, in line with European legislation, wants to ensure that each of its users understands what cookies are and how they are used so that they can decide whether or not to accept their use.
A cookie is a small file containing a unique identification number that is stored by the site on the user's device and serves both to allow access to certain features and to passively monitor the device's activities on the site.
The Data Protection Authority classifies cookies into:
- technical cookies;
- profiling cookies.
Technical cookies
They allow navigation of the site and access to all its functionalities.
They may be used to improve the user's browsing experience.
Profiling cookies
They store user preferences expressed while surfing the web (and therefore also on other sites) in order to send advertising messages in line with these preferences.
What kind of cookies does HTML Crusco use?
HTML Crusco is quite sensitive to the issue of privacy and has decided to avoid the unwanted disclosure of sensitive data and preferences of its users as much as possible.
For this reason, HTML Crusco does not use profiling cookies but only technical cookies. The technical cookies used by HTML Crusco can be classified as:
- functional.
Functional
They allow access to all the functionalities offered by the site.
They are in turn divided into session cookies and persistent cookies.
Session cookies
Vengono creati al momento dell'accesso al sito e servono a semplificare la fruizione del sito.
Non contengono nessun dato sensibile e vengono cancellati in moto automatico alla chiusura del browser.
Persistent cookies
They keep track of actions taken by the visitor, such as closing a pop-up window, and make it possible to prevent the same window from being shown again.
In the case of HTML Crusco, persistent cookies are only used to store the closing of a pop-up window and, only if you enable the "remember me" option in the browser, the authentication info.
The authentication info cookie are deleted after 30 days.
Manage and remove all cookies via the browser
By changing your browser settings, you can manage cookies and decide whether to accept them, delete them or receive a warning message before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit.
Remember that by disabling cookies in your browser you may not be able to use the full functionality offered by the sites.
If you use several computers in different locations, make sure that each browser is set to suit your preferences.
